President

You are the 'captain of the ship' and one of the faces of the ACSA. As president of ACSA it is is important to be informed on all affairs of the ACSA, staying in close communication with the vice president at all times. Maintain continuous contact with the rest of the board assisting everyone where needed. You as well as the VP are expected to be at most or all meetings representing the ASCA, with the University and other external parties. Ensure that deadlines are set for the team and adhered to. This includes internal and external deadlines like the monthly newsletter. Be friendly, personable, approachable, encouraging and full of ideas!

Secretary

If you are organised, have an attention to detail, looking to develop some of your administrative and communication skills then this is definitely the position for you!Some tasks you would be expected to do:
- Maintenance and documentation of minutes
- First point of contact
- Respond to emails
- Schedule meetings
- Follow up on board members tasks

Treasurer


The main duties of a treasurer are to oversee the financial administration of ACSA, review procedures and financial reporting, advise the board on financial strategy, and advise on fundraising.You are responsible for holding the bank account, being responsible for any transaction by or in name of the ACSA, applying for grants and the office, getting new sponsors, helping out wherever else needed.

Vice-President


You are the President's "right hand" and you maintain continuous contact with the rest of the board team. As the VP, you must be up-to-date on all ACSA organization communication and events. You are also the point of contact for other student associations and external parties. In other words, a lot of talking, a lot of planning, a lot of attending!

Public Relations Officer

In Public relations you are mainly in charge of all of the ACSAs social media outlets, from managing the LinkedIn, Instagram, website, and more. It is your job to create the posters and other promotional material for the events of ACSA and ensure that these are properly advertised and posted. You are also a person of first contact and need to respond to messages coming in from the social media platforms. As public relations you need to be communicative, organized and most importantly creative, an eye for design is extremely valuable!

Educational Coordinator

Your job is to think of creative and interesting to inform and educate members of the community through educational events. This includes finding interesting topics of discussion for debates, social media discussions, finding relevant documentaries and movies of interest to the community. It is also important to have a strong collaborative spirit as your duties can sometime coincide with those of the social coordinator. The annual symposium, our biggest event of the year is a big part of your responsibilities to come up with an idea/ theme for the event of course with the help of the rest of the board, however, the main part of the research is up to you.

Social Events Coordinator

As the social coordinator your job is to think of creative and interesting ideas that the ACSA members can enjoy. It was a bit difficult this year because of the pandemic but, online games and virtual movies where still possible. You have to be able to adapt to any situation and come up with interesting events.
